Jordan Smith

Jordan Smith is an emerging professional in the field of Software Engineering, having recently joined the team as a Junior Software Engineer at Omni NDE.

He recently completed his Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Canterbury, where he developed foundational technology for a digital tool designed to assist individuals with autism in emotion recognition therapy, focusing particularly on the design and integration of a deep learning model for recognizing emotions from speech. This work builds upon his Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, where he developed skills in robotics, control systems, signal processing, embedded systems, and computer vision.

Before joining Omni NDE, Jordan’s diverse internship experiences spanned various sectors. He is keen on facing new challenges, making impactful contributions, and continually advancing his professional skills in the dynamic and ever-evolving fields of robotics and software engineering.
