Meet Dr. Alex Opie

Alex is an engineer with experience designing and writing software across a range of industries and applications. After an Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering he gained a PhD studying medical image processing (CT scanning). Since then he has written software for geological modelling, web applications, electricity industry balancing systems, financial calculations, and cloud infrastructure management.

For Omni NDE, Alex has taken this experience and applied it to robotic control, path planning, sensor integration, CT and computed-laminographic reconstruction, networking, and user interfaces. He is enjoying the challenge of building technological solutions from the ground up and exploring the possibilities of alternative imaging modalities and control systems.
